The Power of Possibility is a dynamic leadership workshop designed for Servant Leader Interns (SLIs) in the CDF Freedom Schools program. Centered on the theme of unlocking potential and fostering innovation, this session equips interns with the mindset and tools to lead with purpose, creativity, and resilience for the upcoming summer

Background

Rooted in the intergenerational leadership model of Freedom Schools, this workshop brings together SLIs—typically college students—who are preparing to guide and inspire young scholars. The session is structured to build on past experiences, encourage personal reflection, and set the stage for impactful site engagement, reinforcing the program’s commitment to academic enrichment, social action, and community building

Challenge

Servant Leader Interns often face the challenge of managing their time and energy while maintaining high levels of engagement, collaboration, and leadership at their sites. The workshop addresses the need for practical strategies, renewed motivation, and a supportive culture that empowers interns to innovate and adapt, especially when faced with unexpected challenges or low-energy days
